Former Lugari Member of Parliament (MP) Cyrus Jirongo was a politician whose rise in politics is attributed to the infamous YK 92 that prolonged KANU’s tight grip to power just after the introduction of multi-party democracy in Kenya.
However, Jirongo was described as a man with a loose, loud mouth and as such struggled to pick his feet after curtains closed on KANU’s reign in 2002.
Jirongo tragically passed away on December 13, 2025, in a road accident, owned a luxurious residence in Gigiri, one of Nairobi's upscale diplomatic and high-end neighborhoods.
His Gigiri home is described as a magnificent two-story stone mansion with a pitched roof, featuring,Dark security grilles on the windows, a distinctive curved section, lush green shrubbery an expansive lawn, a high perimeter wall for privacy and security.
The property reflects the grandeur associated with his past affluent lifestyle, despite later financial challenges.
Publicly available information and media reports including videos that surfaced after his death primarily showcase the exterior of the home, with details on its elegant stone facade and well-manicured grounds.
A high perimeter wall surrounds the home, which also boasts a lovely lawn.
This mansion, with its high perimeter wall, reflects Jirongo's remarkable political career and affluent lifestyle.
