Former Laikipia Woman Rep Cate Waruguru has weighed in on the remarks made by former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who called on residents of Mount Kenya to remain united.
The former President, who was speaking in Kirinyaga during the burial of a former senator, said he has been listening to the ground and called on leaders to do the same.
In his own words, the former President said that the ground is calling for unity:
"I have heard some people saying that they are listening to the ground. Now at my home in Ichaweri, I'm also listening to the ground, which is demanding unity," said Rtd President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He also slammed leaders whom he said have been engaging in insults, affirming that the people of Kenya do not want leaders who will insult them.
According to Uhuru, leaders should listen to the people who put them in power instead of sweet-talking them.
His remarks caught the attention of leaders who took to social media platforms to speak on what he meant by listening to the ground.
Hon Waruguru, who took to Facebook to comment on this, shared a video of the former president speaking. She affirmed that the ground is saying WanTam, adding that the ground is very clear and united.
