DCP Official Reacts as MP Ichungwah says Rigathi Paid Goons to Invade Uhuru Kenyatta's Land

DCP's Secretary for Planning and Economic Affairs, Dr. Peter Mbae, has criticized Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah for saying that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua paid goons to invade retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s land.

According to reports, the MP, who was speaking about the incident during an interview on Obinna TV, said that Rigathi summoned top security officers and urged them to stay away from the area.

He alleged that Rigathi also summoned two Members of Parliament from Embakasi, whom he said were used to pay the goons.

"I was in the meeting... When I arrived, there were top security officers. They were asked to leave. Two other MPs came in and were asked to pay the goons. I opposed the move and Rigathi told me the plan was off," MP Kimani Ichung’wah said.

He went on to say that he was surprised when he saw what happened, adding that he was the one who even called the police to take action against suspects who were involved in the incident.

On April 22, 2026, Dr. Mbae, who took to Facebook to comment on this news, said that MP Ichung’wah was taking Kenyans back to where they left.

He alleged that the MP is upset because retired President Uhuru Kenyatta is working with Rigathi Gachagua.
