Woman Claiming Relationship With DP Kindiki Speaks at Karangu Muraya’s Brother’s Burial

A burial ceremony for the late Paul Karangu, brother to popular Kikuyu gospel musician and philanthropist Karangu Muraya, has drawn public attention after a woman claiming to be related to Deputy President Kithure Kindiki addressed mourners.

The emotional send off, held on Wednesday, April 23, brought together family, friends, and several notable personalities who gathered to support Karangu during his time of loss. 

Among those present were public figures from the entertainment and religious space, reflecting the wide influence Karangu has built over the years.

During the ceremony, a group of speakers was given an opportunity to address mourners. 

It was at this point that a woman, who introduced herself as a relative of the Deputy President, took to the microphone and made remarks that have since sparked reactions online.

In her speech, the woman spoke about her background, noting that while her sister resides in Tharaka Nithi County, she herself lives in Mombasa. 

She described parts of Tharaka Nithi as semi arid, highlighting the economic challenges faced by some residents in the region.

She went on to acknowledge her claimed relationship with Kindiki but emphasized that she does not depend on him for support. 

According to her, individuals should strive to be self reliant rather than relying on family members, regardless of their status.

“Kindiki knows we are here. He is our relative, but we don’t depend on him. Never depend on anyone in life, especially family members,” she said.

Her sentiments quickly spread across social media platforms, with Kenyans expressing mixed reactions. 

While some users found her remarks humorous, others viewed them as a strong message encouraging independence and personal responsibility.
