Game On: Big Win For Mt Kenya as Ruto Vows to Deliver Nanyuki and Nyahururu Stadiums in 60 Days

President William Ruto has once again made a bold promise — this time to the residents of Nanyuki and Nyahururu.

Speaking during his tour of Laikipia County, the Head of State assured locals that the long-awaited stadiums in both towns will be completed within the next two months.

Ruto said his government has already allocated funds and directed the relevant agencies to fast-track the construction works, noting that sports infrastructure is a crucial part of his administration’s plan to empower the youth.

“Give me just two months and you will see the Nanyuki and Nyahururu stadiums taking shape. I want our young people to have proper grounds where they can showcase their talents and build careers in sports,” the President declared, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

The promise comes amid growing public frustration over stalled or delayed projects initiated by previous administrations.

Residents of Laikipia have, for years, complained about the poor state of local sports facilities, which has hindered the growth of young talent in the region.

Ruto assured that his government is committed to fulfilling campaign pledges and reviving projects that had been abandoned, insisting that accountability and delivery remain at the heart of his leadership.

Sports enthusiasts and local leaders welcomed the announcement, saying the completion of the two stadiums would not only promote sports but also boost the local economy through job creation and tourism.

However, critics have urged caution, noting that similar promises in other counties have yet to materialize.

Opposition leaders have challenged the President to move beyond words and ensure that the stadiums are indeed completed within the promised timeframe.

As the clock starts ticking on Ruto’s two-month pledge, all eyes are now on Nanyuki and Nyahururu — waiting to see whether the President’s words will translate into concrete results on the ground.
