Gachagua Spills Beans After Armed Robbers Allegedly Raid Newton Karish Home in Karambari (VIDEO)

Democracy for Citizens' Party leader Rigathi Gachagua has said no amount of threats or fear-mongering will make Newton Karish pull out of the Mbeere North mini poll race.

Speaking exclusively to an Embu-based radio station on Friday, the former second in command revealed that a group of well-known goons drawn from Kiandutu Slum in Thika were used to raid the home of Newton Karish in Karambari, Mbeere North Constituency.

In his message, Gachagua revealed that the Democratic Party aspirant was lucky because he was not in the compound, as he no longer spends nights at his home due to security concerns.

"Let me say that there was a plan where hired goons were to cause chaos during vote counting so that police would disperse everyone, including agents, allowing votes to be stolen.

"I want to thank the youth of Mbeere North because they rejected the task and said they cannot fight one of their own and cannot accept violence.

"Recently, here in Kanyuambora, they brought robbers from Kiandutu, Thika, and when they were spotted, they were chased away.

"I also have reports that another group of goons from Thika raided the home of Newton Karish to issue threats, but I want to state that everything is okay for now," Gachagua said.
