"Gen Zs Wanangoja 2027" Kalonzo Defends Gen Zs after They Failed to Turn up during By-election

Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday slammed the broad-based government saying Gen Zs will teach them a lesson in the 2027 Election.

Speaking during a thanksgiving prayers in Machakos after Anthony Kisoi’s decisive win in the Mumbuni North Ward by-election, Kalonzo defended the Gen Zs for low turn out to participate in recent By-election saying they are still buying their time in preparation for the General Election.

He asked the government not to brag so much for their victory warning that ODM pact with UDA will fall apart before 2027 Election.

“We have seen on the media that they are now forming a 2027 coalition. First, it will fall apart before the 2027 general election. You will not believe it,” he said.

Kalonzo added that young voters remained alert and would play a decisive role despite attempts at voter suppression.

“The Gen Z are still building their time because they are aware of the voter suppression,” he said.

On the other hand, DCP boss Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that they have agreed with Kalonzo that DCP will field candidates in Nairobi.

Currently, ODM and its Azimio coalition partners control Nairobi politics, a scenario Gachagua seeks to overturn.

Governor Johnson Sakaja was elected on a UDA ticket, while Edwin Sifuna and Esther Passaris won the Senate and Woman Rep seats respectively on ODM.

UDA and ODM displayed their dominance during last week’s by-elections, with UDA clinching the Baringo Senate seat as well as the Banisa, Mbeere North and Malava constituencies. ODM retained its seats in Ugunja, Kasipul and Magarini.
