Top Politician Leaks Details of Ruto's Phonecall That Influenced Mbeere Results in Favour of UDA

Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced that the United Opposition intends to submit a formal petition on the concluded by-election.

The petition is to contest the purported interference in the Mbeere North and Malava by-elections, directly accusing President William Ruto.

During a statement made on Sunday, November 30, in Machakos County, Kalonzo asserted that they have evidence implicating President William Ruto.

According to Kalonzo, Ruto had personally contacted a local police commander in Mbeere North to sway the outcome in favor of UDA candidate Leo Wamuthende.

Kalonzo described the alleged actions of the president and senior government officials as an instance of state interference.

In the petition, the Wiper leader indicated that they would identify specific Cabinet Secretaries and public servants whom he claimed had misused their positions and engaged in the misconduct.

It is known that Ruto's UDA ticket won the Mbeere North by elections against the United opposition candidate.
