Babu Owino, Ndindi Nyoro Among Leaders Who Are Planning Mega Political Alliance Ahead of 2027

Babu Owino, the Embakasi East MP, is reportedly among key political figures—alongside Ndindi Nyoro—who are working on forming a major coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Reports suggest that efforts are underway to unite political forces from Nyanza and Mount Kenya, with insiders claiming that allies of both former President Uhuru Kenyatta and current President William Ruto are involved in shaping this broad alliance.

Zack Kinuthia, a close associate of past presidential campaigns, hinted that the move could create room for fresh political alignments and potentially sideline broadband from local politics.

In an interview, Owino confirmed that discussions are ongoing with Nyoro and others, emphasizing that their push is driven by a belief that the country needs a new generation of leadership.

Meanwhile, several Mount Kenya leaders—including Joe Nyutu and Edward Muriu—have already expressed support for Nyoro as a possible successor to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in the 2027 elections.
