He Denied Me Love:Embu Wife Shares Shòcking Moment Husband Gave Her Sh 10K to Sleep with Another Man

A woman from Embu County has shared a deeply personal and troubling account of her marriage, shedding light on years of emotional neglect, control, and eventual heartbreak.

Victoria, as she identified herself, revealed that her relationship began during her college years when she fell in love with the man who would later become her husband.

Against her family’s wishes, she chose to marry him without consulting her parents—a decision that led to her father withdrawing financial support for her education.

Despite the rocky start, the couple went on to build a life together and had three children.

However, Victoria says her marriage was far from peaceful. She described her husband as controlling and often violent, claiming he restricted her interactions with neighbors and isolated her socially.

As time went on, his behavior allegedly worsened. Although his business prospered—allowing him to purchase a car—Victoria claims she was never allowed to use it, even when they were heading in the same direction.

She also recounted how he would frequently come home late, sometimes as late as 4 a.m., and became increasingly distant.

According to her, attempts to rekindle intimacy were met with hostility. She says he would physically push her away, leaving her confused and emotionally drained.

The breaking point came when she confronted him about the lack of affection. His response, she recalls, was both shocking and painful—he allegedly handed her KSh 10,000 and suggested she find a younger man to “reduce her urges.”

That moment, Victoria says, made her realize the relationship was beyond repair. She gathered her children and left, starting a new life in a nearby town.

Her story has sparked conversations online about the realities many women face in silence, highlighting the importance of emotional well-being, respect, and dignity within relationships.
