The Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) has issued tender notices for the upgrade of numerous critical roads, including one in Nyandarua, just days after Senator John Methu publicly criticised President Ruto over stalled projects.
Methu made the announcement on Monday, April 13, implying that his call to action to the president played a significant role in KeRRA's decision to enhance the critical corridor.
"You must defeat fear, to be a good leader. I mentioned the road from Murungaru- Gilgil road to the President on Wednesday. It was advertised on Friday," Methu said in a statement.
KeRRA is now looking for contractors to upgrade the Murungaru - Tulasha - Gilgil Road and the Gwa Ishangai - Kitogo - Kamba - Mutarakwa - Mutamaiyu Primary and Secondary School Road to bitumen standards.
Both projects are part of KeRRA's lot 9 road renovations, which include 62 routes across the country.
