Check On Why Catholic Priest Who Died While Serving In Kenya Is Set To Be Taken Back To His Country For Funeral Ceremony

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Charles Msuri who died while serving at The Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi as a parish priest of Sacred Heart, Dagoreti, Nairobi. Is set to be laid to rest on 31st October, 2025 in Gallapo Tanzania. The late Fr. Msuri, was from a congregation identified as The Pallottine Fathers (Society of the Catholic Apostolate).

According to the burial program, his body will leave St. Francis Hospital Morgue Kasarani at 10:00am on Wednesday 29th October, 2025. It will then be taken to Sacred Heart Parish in Dagoreti where he served for the requiem mass which is expected to begin at around 11:00am. Members of the said parish will be allowed to view the remains of the late priest immediately after the mass.


At midnight, the casket will then leave Sacred Heart Parish, Dagoreti for Tanzania. The convoy ferrying his body is expected to arrive at Namanga border on Thursday 30th October, 2025 from around 6:00am for clearance before crossing the border to Gallapo, Tanzania.

On Friday 31st October, 2025, the funeral mass will begin at 10:00am and it will be presided over by his Lordship Bishop Anthony Lagwan, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Mbulu, Tanzania. Burial will take place immediately after the mass at the Pallottine Cemetery in Gallapo, Tanzania from 1:00pm.

Catholic faithful whom the late priest Fr. Msuri served at The Catholic Archdiocese Of Nairobi, have flooded online sending message of condolences to his family members, friends and the entire church.
