'I Won in 134/198 Stations' - Panyako Cries Foul as he Alleges What Happened in 54 Polling Stations

Though he has accepted defeat, DAP-K party candidate in the Malava Parliamentary race Seth Panyako is not in agreement with the election results from 54 polling stations.

In a statement posted on his official social media accounts, Panyako argued that he won in one hundred and thirty four polling stations and lost only in 54 stations in which he suspects foul play.

As alleged by Panyako through the social media post, his win and the will of the people was overturned in the 54 polling stations in which he lost.

"We won in one hundred and thirty four polling stations out of the total one hundred and ninety eight. They used 54 polling stations to steal the elections," alleged Panyako.

According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) results announced at the constituency tallying centre, Panyako lost by 954 votes to UDA's David Ndakwa.

Despite the loss, Panyako is optimistic that the loss will not determine his political future. "I have lost this election, this will not determine my political future," he wrote.

During the campaign trail, Panyako alleged that his opponents in conjunction with state agents unleashed violence to him and his team. IEBC has since condemned the violence and asked security agencies to act immediately.

On his part, Ndakwa maintained that he has been the most peaceful candidate despite provocation from opponents.
