"Sikuvaa Diapers" Truphena Reveals How She Endured 72 Hours Without a Toilet Break

Truphena Muthoni, the 22-year-old environmentalist from Nyeri, has continued to draw attention after completing her 72-hour tree-hugging challenge.

She began the attempt on Monday, December 8, and held on until midday on Thursday, breaking the record she had set earlier in the year.

The rules of the challenge were strict. Truphena was not allowed to sit, eat, drink or take a bathroom break.

This sparked questions online, with many Kenyans wondering how she managed to stay on her feet for three days without visiting the toilet.

While speaking during a live session hosted by TikToker Chris Kirubi, Truphena addressed the speculation directly. She explained that she did not relieve herself at any point during the challenge and was not wearing any form of protection.

“I did not pee on myself, and I did not go to the toilet for those three days,” she said, adding that she had prepared for months to build her endurance.

According to her, the training involved conditioning her body and mind to withstand long hours without food or water.

She noted that the challenge was not just about breaking a record but also about pushing her commitment to environmental conservation.

Her feat drew mixed reactions from the public. Some praised her discipline and determination, while others joked that they struggle to sit through a two-hour exam without rushing to the washroom. A section of Kenyans also commended her courage, saying she had shown rare resilience.

Despite the light-hearted comments, many agreed that her achievement was remarkable and reflected strong personal discipline and dedication to her cause.
