Dr Oburu Asked to Convene Meeting to Oust ODM Rebels Allegedly Contradicting Late Raila's Directives

Siaya county senator and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Dr. Oburu Oginga has been requested by Member of Parliament representing Homa Bay Town Constituency in the National Assembly Hon Peter Kaluma, to make arrangements and urgently convene a meeting, purposely meant to oust those considered as party rebels who have allegedly been contradicting late Raila Odinga's directives.

Amid the escalating turmoil sorounding the party two months after Raila Odinga's untimely demise, Peter Kaluma opined that the only way to save the party from further squabbles is by convening a crisis meeting, to mainly deal with the rebels in bid to affirm authority and bring the party into the correct order.

According to Peter Kaluma, rebel lawmakers who will face the axe should not only be chased away from the party, but should also be demoted from their parliamentary leadership positions, as a consequence of contradicting Raila's directives.

In a rather controversial fashion, Peter Kaluma alleged that the lawmakers who have allegedly been contradicting Raila Odinga's key directives barely three months after he rested, have been acting as moles to the former and impeached Deputy President of Kenya Hon Rigathi Gachagua, who need not to be spared for the well being of the party.

Prior to Kaluma's plea to Oburu Oginga, a section of tough speaking ODM officials led by Nairobi county Senator Edwin Sifuna and his ally for Vihiga county Godfrey Osotsi who spoke during late Cyrus Jirongo's burial on Tuesday had vowed to stay put in the party and affirmed that they won't be cowed by Junet Mohamed's threats to quit the party.
