Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that he has devised new strategies to remove President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.
The DCP party leader explained that the opposition will tour every region to explain what they have in store for the citizens as much as 2027 contest is concerned.
It is reported that Mr Gachagua plans to launch initiatives to help him control votes in the Mt Kenya region ahead of 2027, with some of these initiatives will be led by DCP Deputy Leader Cleophas Malala.
“After a meeting with MPs who support our vision, I unveiled an implementation plan for this year. I have also tasked my deputy with leading the implementation on behalf of the DCP party,” said Mr Gachagua.
One of the key strategies that DCP stakeholders plan to pursue by all means is a strong collaboration between Mr Gachagua, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro.
In recent days, Mr Gachagua and Mr Nyoro have defended Mr Kenyatta against accusations leveled at him by some supporters of the UDA and ODM parties, an indication that the plans of Agikuyu elders are showing signs of success.
He also dismissed claims that his camp is being deserted by former close allies, noting that he is not worried because what matters most is having the support of ordinary citizens.
“President Ruto is the one who should be afraid, especially considering that politicians he claims are his allies are planning to abandon him and join the opposition. His 2027 ambition will soon be in jeopardy,” he added..
