The 2027 Strategies Ruto Revealed to UDA Heavyweights in a Late-Night Secret Meeting

Taifa Leo has established that President William Ruto could be planning for his re-election campaign in secret from the grassroots by convening two major meetings.

The publication notes that the Head of State could be bringing together all leaders elected on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, and another intended to unite aspirants seeking the party’s tickets in the 2027 General Election.

On the night meeting, it was reported that the President ordered repeat elections following complaints from elected leaders who said they were not adequately involved in the exercise.

The President has called a special sitting of the National Governing Council (NGC) to be held on Monday, January 26, while another meeting with UDA ticket aspirants for the 2027 election is scheduled for February 4. This move is aimed at building strong grassroots political networks for his re-election campaign.

The NGC meeting will be attended by UDA governors, deputy governors, senators, members of the National Assembly, women representatives, East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MPs, as well as ward representatives in county assemblies. Both meetings will be held at State House Nairobi.
