Allegations Emerge Why Ichung'wah Was Not Offered a Chance to Address Mourners at Kiaraho's Requiem

A report by the People Daily media group on 9th, April 2025, has revealed why majority leader in the National Assembly and Kikuyu constituency Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung'wah, was not offered an opportunity to address mourners, during late MP David Kiaraho's requiem mass, that was held on Wednesday 8th, April, at the Ol Kalou Stadium, in Nyandarua County.

As per the publication, Kimani Ichung'wah who has remained to be a credible voice of his boss President William Ruto was not given a chance to speak at the tense event, after those who were coordinating the programme feared for jeers and chants from the charged crowd, that would have probably been directed to the MP.

Despite the fact that Ichung'wah did not speak during the event, his name became a heated subject of discussion during the requiem mass, after Nyandarua county senator Hon John Methu fired at the Majority leader in front of President Ruto, daring him (Ichung'wah) to insult Gachagua, as he has allegedly been doing during some of his public addresses.

Aside from Senator John Methu, Rigathi Gachagua also never minced his words while firing at the lawmaker, branding him as a traitor to the Kikuyu community, and also describing him as a liability to the Ruling Kenya Kwanza administration.

Specifically, Rigathi Gachagua took a swipe at Ichung'wah, alleging that he has been misleading President Ruto, thus significantly making his (Ruto) popularlity in the vote-rich Mt Kenya region to sharply nosedive, while Gachagua's presence to be strongly felt by the electorates.
