Vihiga County Assembly Speaker, Christopher Omulele has called for investigations following the death of an advocate who passed away after an alleged assault.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Tom Ouya Imbukwa, was assaulted by unknown suspects and was found in a critical condition his home in Harambee Sacco in Nairobi.
He was rushed to the Hospital where he passed away in an incident that caught the attention of the legal fraternity.
Police said he was assaulted elsewhere before he was taken to the scene where he was found.
Fellow Lawyer Wanyama, who took to Facebook to confirm this news, called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to conduct an investigation in order to establish the circumstances surrounding the demise of the deceased.
He affirmed that it is essential for the suspects who were involved in the murder to be arrested and charged accordingly.
"The recent murder of Ouya Imbukwa, Advocate, at Harambee Sacco is utterly shocking. There is an urgent need for an investigation by the DCI's Homicide Unit.
It is essential that the perpetrators are identified, arrested, and charged accordingly," Peter Wanyama said.
