President William Ruto has defended his administration’s development record, saying the progress made within two years in office demonstrates what the country can achieve over a longer period under sustained leadership.
Speaking while handing over affordable houses at Mukuru estate, the President said his government has laid a firm foundation across key sectors, arguing that the pace of development so far points to even greater transformation in the next decade or two.
“I have accomplished all of these development projects in just two years. Just imagine what is going to happen in 10 or 20 years,” Ruto said.
This has ignited debate over the possibility of Ruto extending his term in office after 2032. This is after previously stating that his vision to make Kenya a first world country will take 30 years.
The Head of State also dismissed criticism from the opposition, insisting that development takes time and consistency. He urged Kenyans to judge his leadership by tangible outcomes rather than political rhetoric.
