UDA Politician Reacts After Juja MP Koimburi Dumped Gachagua To Return To Ruto's Camp Over Betrayal

Mathira Member of Parliament Eric Wamumbi has reacted to Juja MP George Koimburi’s decision to leave the Democracy for the Citizens Party and return to the government side.

His response was calm, confident, and loaded with political meaning, coming at a time when alliances in Mt Kenya politics are rapidly shifting.

Wamumbi shared his reaction shortly after Koimburi’s move became public. He praised the Juja MP for making what he described as a bold and timely political decision.

In his view, the move showed maturity and clarity at a moment when many leaders are struggling to choose sides.

The Mathira MP suggested that Koimburi’s return to the government camp was not a surprise.

He indicated that the political journey Koimburi has taken over the years showed signs of frustration within opposition formations that lack clear direction and internal trust.

Wamumbi framed Koimburi’s decision as a return to a familiar political home.

He implied that leaders who step away from government often realize the limits of operating outside power, especially when development and service delivery are at stake.

By congratulating Koimburi, Wamumbi also sent a wider message to leaders still sitting on the fence.

His reaction appeared to encourage other politicians to make firm choices instead of remaining in parties marked by internal wrangles and constant power struggles.
