Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has slammed leaders who are allied to President William Ruto for asking Nyandarua Senator Methu Muhia to issue an apology to President William Ruto over his remarks in Nyandarua.
Speaking on April 14, 2026, Rigathi said that Ruto once told retired President Uhuru Kenyatta that he does not fear him.
"I have seen people asking Senator Methu to issue a public apology to the President. What did he say wrong? When Ruto was Deputy President, he once told retired President Uhuru Kenyatta that he does not fear him," Rigathi Gachagua said.
The former Deputy President of Kenya also slammed the Deputy President of Kenya, His Excellency Kithure Kindiki, for issuing an apology to the people of Nyandarua on behalf of all politicians over what happened during the funeral of the late MP of Ol Kalou, the late Honorable Kiaraho.
He called on Kithure to issue an apology to Kenyans for the deaths of young people who were killed during the protests against the proposed 2024 Finance Bill.
"You're here issuing an apology on our behalf. I would like you to issue an apology to Kenyans following the deaths of Kenyans who were killed during the protests against the proposed 2024 Finance Bill," Rigathi Gachagua said.
