Lawyer and political activist Miguna Miguna has spoken out strongly following claims of a massive land dispute involving a multibillion estate in Runda.
In a bold statement, Miguna described Mzee Mbugua as a humble, kind, and hardworking man who built his wealth through years of determination and honest business.
He said Mbugua’s success came from “sweat and painstaking entrepreneurship,” not shortcuts.
Miguna, who says he was both a friend and client of the late businessman, vowed to defend the estate from what he termed as attempts by powerful individuals to grab the land.
He mentioned names such as Kipchumba Murkomen, Oscar Sudi, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, and George Kuria, warning that they, along with President William Ruto, would not be allowed to take over the property.
The remarks come shortly after reports emerged linking some of these leaders to an alleged Sh20 billion land grab in Runda, one of Nairobi’s most prime and high-value residential areas.
The claims have sparked heated public debate, with many Kenyans calling for transparency and accountability in land ownership matters.
Land disputes are not new in Kenya, especially in areas where property values have risen sharply. However, cases involving influential figures often attract widespread attention and concern.
Miguna’s statement has added more pressure on authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure justice is served.
As the controversy unfolds, the focus now shifts to whether evidence will support the allegations and what legal steps may follow.
For many observers, this case represents a larger issue of land ownership, fairness, and the protection of private property in Kenya.
