“We Do Not Like Him” – Kenyans React After Hassan Omar Launches Fresh Attack on Uhuru Kenyatta

Political debate in Kenya has intensified after former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar launched a fresh verbal attack against former President Uhuru Kenyatta, triggering sharp reactions from Kenyans online.

The remarks, which surfaced in a viral video circulating on social media, have once again exposed the deep political divisions that continue to shape the country’s landscape years after the 2022 General Election.

In the clip, Hassan Omar appeared unapologetic as he criticized Uhuru, reigniting conversations about old political rivalries and loyalty battles within Kenya’s political class.

The video quickly attracted thousands of reactions from Kenyans, with many social media users openly expressing frustration toward Hassan Omar over his continued criticism of the former Head of State.

Some argued that political leaders should focus more on the country’s economic struggles instead of revisiting past political feuds.

Others, however, defended Omar, insisting that leaders have a right to express their political opinions openly, especially regarding decisions made during Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.

The online debate soon turned heated, with rival political camps exchanging accusations and blame over Kenya’s current political direction.

A section of Kenyans strongly disagreed with Omar’s sentiments, with some bluntly stating, “We do not like him,” while accusing him of promoting unnecessary political hostility.

Critics argued that such statements only increase tension at a time when many citizens are demanding unity and solutions to pressing national concerns.

At the same time, supporters of President William Ruto viewed Hassan Omar’s remarks as bold and truthful, claiming they reflect frustrations shared by leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The incident has once again highlighted the widening gap between politicians associated with Ruto’s camp and those still linked to Uhuru Kenyatta’s political influence.

Political analysts believe the renewed attacks could signal tougher political battles ahead as leaders begin positioning themselves for the 2027 elections.

The growing intensity of public exchanges between rival camps suggests that old alliances continue to break apart while new ones emerge.
