Kalonzo Reveals Why Sifuna is Hesitant to Join Him & Gachagua

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has shed light on why Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has not fully aligned himself with the United Opposition.

Speaking during a rally in Taita Taveta, Kalonzo stated that Sifuna’s hesitation is largely due to ongoing internal wrangles within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

According to Kalonzo, the senator is currently focused on addressing divisions within his party before making any major political moves.

He added that Sifuna is also pushing back against what he described as external influence affecting ODM’s direction.

Kalonzo further claimed that a section of ODM leaders is leaning towards supporting President William Ruto, a situation that has complicated efforts to unite the opposition with the party.

He maintained that Sifuna is keen on resolving the internal party issues first, before considering formally joining forces with the United Opposition led by Kalonzo and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

He told Taita residents not to worry saying efforts to unite 'wantam' brigade in a top gear.
